These funds will make it possible for us to continue hosting non-profit and community events in our space. Glad Day pays over $17,000 in rent every month for our Church Street location, which works out to about $37 for every hour we are open.
On average, we host over 75 events a month at Glad Day, but the vast majority of those events don’t cover the cost of our rent and staffing. This fund will subsidize events that prioritize queer and trans justice, creativity and community.
