Join East African LGBTQ activists, refugees and allies behind This Is How the Heart Beats: LGBTQ East Africa--a collection of portraits of East Africans who were forced to flee unimaginable abuse by their governments, neighbours and even their families--to discuss life for LGBTQ people in East Africa. Tickets for this event will be PWYC with a suggested donation of $10, and will raise money for ERWEO, an organization helping LGBTQ people in Uganda.
