Glad Day is writing its next chapter on Queen West, and we need your help to get to opening day. We are absolutely cramming the bookstore with exciting queer and trans books and merch by local artists. Our new location at 32 Lisgar gives us access to a beautiful space, where we can host book launches and partner with community groups for events.
Your donation will help us:

fill out the booklist so that we can offer the new releases, local authors and classic titles that you’re looking for

maintain and build on our community programming and partnerships

put the finishing touches on the bookstore space and communal lounge so that it's comfortable and accessible to everyone
This Glad Day is a nonprofit. In July, 50 volunteers met to brainstorm, and roll up our sleeves and get to work. With your help, we are making Glad Day a sustainable, community-led queer and trans bookstore.
We can’t wait to see you! On opening weekend, from September 11-14, stop by the bookstore at 32 Lisgar and buy a book and a coffee, meet our volunteers, tour the space, and pick up a schedule of upcoming events.
